Introducing OMSF Spotlight
Show us what you got!
We are launching OMSF Spotlight, a new initiative designed to highlight practical uses of open-source molecular software across our community.
Every day, researchers and developers are building tools, scripts, and workflows that solve real scientific problems. Many of these efforts remain local to individual labs or teams, and some never even see the light of day. OMSF Spotlight is intended to bring broader visibility to this work.
We are inviting members of the community to submit:
Short scripts or utilities
Workflow automations
Integrated pipelines
Creative uses of OMSF-hosted software
…or other tools built on open-source components
Submissions will be reviewed by the OMSF team, and a few will be selected to present their work during the OMSF Symposium. These users will be invited to join us in Barcelona in May 2026 to attend:
And all submissions will be included in the OMSF Software Directory. The Directory is a growing, public catalog of tools, workflows, and community-built resources that rely on open molecular software. It serves as a reference point for researchers looking to discover how open tools are being applied in practice.
If you are building something that you are excited about, or know someone who is, we would love to see your submission.
Use this form to be a part of this effort!
See you in Barcelona!
